Home
Children are gift and weight at the same time. You may pass on love you yourself have received — patience, forgiveness, a present adult. If you long and it does not come, or it turned out differently: God sees that room. You do not have to carry it alone. Ask for wisdom for the next ordinary thing: a meal, a conversation, a night.
I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well.
What it means
You are fearfully and wonderfully made. That is thanksgiving to God, not a compliment from people.
How you can live it
When comparison hits: thank God for one thing about how you are made — without polishing it.
Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
What it means
Bär varandras bördor, så uppfyller ni Kristi lag. Tro är inte att klara sig själv. Det är att hjälpas åt.
How you can live it
Fråga någon 'hur är det, på riktigt?' och lyssna färdigt. Låt också någon bära din börda.
And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.
What it means
Be kind, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
How you can live it
At home: one kind word, one soft answer, one act of forgiveness if you can.
A prayer
Father, you see the children and the longing. Give me patience, wisdom and someone to share the load with. Amen.
